Whats up guys...

Been working on my latest DSM...here's the scoop.

Wide open throttle, the car makes maybe 13 pounds of boost, but the RPMs rise fast at first and then slow to almost a halt around, idk, 5k. There is a difference in this depending on what gear, but the idea is the same.

I can here turbo spooling and lots of air flow, just not that same kick im used too.

My question is, could the stock BOV be leaknig that much air to kill the performance? Ive done a boost leak test and all the stock piping has been cleaned, all the clamps are tight, etc. Idles low at times, 400-500.

Im not sure what else it could be. Thoughts/questions are welcome.

Thanks in advance guys.

Yes, 1998 GST.

I know the stock POS BOV is prone to leaking. Ive just never heard of one leaking so bad that the car wouldnt have any power to even rev up and go.

I dont have that ability.

Car is pretty much stock, runs great, spools great, it kicks hard in the beginning, but then its gone.

It now seems like the problem may be intermittent.

No idea...

I ordered some hard inter cooler piping, and I have a BOV here as well. As soon as they come in, im going to install and see what the difference is.

Should help with the boost leak.
