I got my boost leaks down to this last one now, but its gonna be a mighty pain in the ass because its right where the intake mani bolts to the block. I'm not really sure how I'm going to go about fixing it and im wondering if i should just buy a better one? like an evo 3... Suggestions and links please.

I agree with crash89 you should get an intake manifold gasket first before anytbing. I had the same problem once, boughta new gasket and wala! Problem solved.

I think the word your looking for is voilà.

Anyways, your gonna want to replace the intake manifold gasket, and possibly the lower fuel injector seals as well. If your manifold is warped a bit, rtv on the gasket will help it seal.

^ This. I would also consider using Permatex "Right Stuff" in conjunction with a new intake manifold gasket. I like using that even more than RTV on intake manifold gaskets.

Take off manifold and clean it very good, make sure its not warped and reinstall with new gasket.

Why are you guys using rtv on the intake manifold gasket? If anything copper spray, but there is no need for rtv.

Are you certain it's the intake manifold?

Is it just a lower injector seal leaking?

If your manifold is warped enough that you can't get a gasket to seal then you need a new manifold. They're in classifieds all day for ~40 dollars. The gaskets are pretty thick, and no reason why it shouldn't seal if it's a new gasket.

I think someone does make a metal gasket, that would be harder to make seal and I could see using copper spray or a little rtv to seal up. But an oem style gasket should seal up to the head and intake manifold without any problems, even if the mainfold is warped a little.

Would this be a good time to upgrade TB and the Intake manifold though?

The stock intake and throttle body will go a long way. No need to upgrade them untill you have quite a bit bigger turbo, cams and all supporting mods. Just fix the leak. It takes like 30-45 minutes to remove the intake manifold.
