Found a huge boost leak coming from the throttle body area (Guess that explains my full boost coming in near 6500 RPM, if I was really even hitting full boost.) Anywho, wont go past 10 PSI with my 120 PSI Compressor, because of this TB leak. Well I've researched and found that the TB Shaft seals go bad and start leaking after some time, so my TB is off the car.

Its a 1990 Throttle Body so, it's different than the other TB's that Ive seen. My question is, have you guys had any luck using O-Rings as replacements for those seals? Were you able to get rid of these leaks using O-Rings?

Any tips on installing the throttle body Gaskets (2)? I ask because, I was thinking about maybe putting down a very thin bead of RTV than laying the gasket down, anyone had any luck with that?

Thanks, and any other tips on rebuilding this TB would be awesome, because I can't find a write-up for the 90 Specific TB!

The only difference in rebuilding is the seals. It comes apart and goes together like the 91+. Ive used rtv with gaskets and it works great. You can buy everything needed from Tim Zimmer at tmzperformance. Its where I ordered all my parts when I rebuilt my 90 throttle body

Well when I Did the boost leak test I had an obvious leak from the throttle body, I found some tiny holes at the Mani elbow. I Just resealed the welds with some jb weld. I could pressurize my system past 10 LBS, and it would completely go to 0 in about 5 seconds.

These are the seals that I need. Just for future reference, in case someone else runs into a similar Problem.

Now, I'll just figure out where I'm going to order them from.

Just for clarification twicks69 is Tim from tmzperformance.com and I am rebuilding my 90 tb as well. I emailed him asking about the seals and he replied saying he has the parts for the 90 tb rebuild along with the different faiv gasket. He has everything you need.
Here is everything he sent me;
BISS Screw
BISS Screw Cap (1G)
BISS Screw O-ring
1990 Throttle Body Inner Gasket
1990 Throttle Body Outer Gasket
1990 Idle Speed Controller O-ring
1990 FIAV Gasket
TB Shaft Plate Screws
