boost guage turn off

i noticed last night that when i hit my brake to stop the my boost guage turns off untill i let off the brake this only happens on the intial press when stopping and not every time i hit it. i have a prosport digital and there has been no problems with it for the month its been in. it was not ghetto rigged it was installed by a pro. and answers or imput on this? oh by the way this is a 96 gst

Check the gauge, and vacuum lines maybe its bad things do break even near new condition been there.

also when i hit a decent size bump my radio turns on and off could thhese be related

the vacuum line is fine and when it is working the bosst numbers are accurate. andything else i could check

Do you have a battery tie down? If not your battery might be hitting the hood or your strut bar. Another possibility is your grounds on your battery terminal aren't making full contact.

How are the wires ran, boost gauge and your radio..You said installed by a pro, but that doesn't mean he didn't just rig your stuff up, and basically cheat you out of a good install..

I don't usually agree with absit, but this time.He has the best idea..So start tracing wires and find out where the gauge hooks up into..And also If he hardwired the radio as well, and didn't go the easy route and got this wiring harness..Which also means my take your money and cheat you out of a good install is correct..

Anyone know which wires to hook the boost/vac gauge light up to? so that the gauge is lit when the rest of them are? (headlight wiring?) I've heard use a volt meter and if it shows voltage when you turn on the headlights thats correct.... and i have access to one, but how do i know exactally which one, just got an auto meter boost gauge 30+ 30- i know which vaccume line to hook up to, just not electrical

battery is relocated to my trunk, . but yes it is nice and snug.

my guy said that he just put the car on aux, and used a volt metter to see which wires were hot at that time.

this problem is fixed. one of the wires had a small slit in it and would ground out. quick fix. thanks for the help
