i just put a a new boost gauge in (autometer) and for some reason im hearing a hissing noise when the turbo spools up. i took the hose out and redid it 3 times. Could this cause anything bad?

If you're hearing a hissing noise from inside the car and it's coming from the boot gauge then air is probably leaking through the threads of the fitting which connects the hose to the gauge. Get some teflon tape and unscrew everything. Wrap it around the threads a few times then screw everything back together.
