Boost funny ,idle high

Alright i researched this and cant find anything on it. My car is idling super high(around 14-500) at a stop and my turbo in third gear goes to about 8 psi but through the rest of the gears it spikes past 11. The only thing done to the car is no muffler and underdrive pulleys. It seems in third as well that I have to get on the gas pretty hard to have boost. Before hand I found a loose hose that connected to the intake manifold and i'm thinking it may have gotten clogged cause i'm not sure of the duration of time it was off. I'm new to turbos and would love help on fixing my car

If your new to turbos, all you have to remember is one thing...Boost Leak Tester. There are articles on how to make one if you want. Sounds like you have a boost leak somewhere. That will cause high idle (vacuum leak) and low boost at pressure. Test it and get back to us.

sounds like a boost leak to me or vacuum hose is routed wrong....there is a diagram on the underside of the hood of the vacuum diagram... as for the boost leak
