well i got a evo 3 16g i had my mbc set at 11 psi and it would creep to around16 in 3rd gear WOT... so i read around and thought i would try taking the mbc out so i just took the line going from my wastegate to MBC and hooked it up to my j pipe and now it holds at 10 psi but still creeps to where i get scared whats the best way to get rid of this i know i could port something. o2 housing? or i could get an aftermarket one? or i could put my cat back in which i would rather not.. dumped o2? let me know your thoughts thanks

this topic has been went over plenty of times butttttt....
putting back on a cat is the wrong way to fix it. you could port your hotside for a larger flapper which has been proven to fix it. this is the cheapest but requires you to take everything back off. or you could go the expensive route Im going and just upgrade your fuel system with 190 650s and dsmlink. Either or....
oh and dump 02 would do nothing but the opposite.

i have seen people use dumped o2 housings and it eliminats creep because theres more room out side of the exhaust than there is inside there for eliminating creep but i could be wrong..
this is my dd i cant afford down time so idk if porting the flapper is really an option idk how you do this if i have someone do it i do it my self ect. please in lighten me =)
and for the dsm link 650's and 190 these 3 things are soon to come actually i just need to save a few paychecks up but those 3 things are in my plans for the car

o2 dump works but the noise is kinda annoying to me but there is also the mr. peepers wastegate mod thats what i did to mine back when i was still on a 16g.

whats this mr peepers mod you speak of LOL? i searched and came up with nothing:hellyeah:

Get ya some used 550's or 650's and a SAFC off the forum, I see them for cheap <300 total. then turn up the boost to 15-17psi :thumb: That is the real way to fix it.

from what i have read ill still have creep if im under 20 psi

i have decided im getting open dump!

actually i have no clue i wanna say its like 25 psi if you max out the 650's, but your gonna need dsm link to tune the 650's i think i could be wrong

no you could do 650's with the safc but it is a PITA... link is definitly a good idea but in my opinion a chip might be a better, more cost effective idea, but, IMO, if your not planning on modding much further as you would have to get a new program on the chip every time....

Any ideas what psi 650s + 190 can handle? mid-high 20s?

Your tune and what gas you use will determine this. If your using 91 or 92 octane you will be limited to around 21psi. Every car is different and you will need a logger to moniter your knock levels.

Port your hotside and either get an aftermarket O2 housing or port yours. That is the real solution in my opinion. You don't want to upgrade everything else just to accommodate boost creep. SAFC is crude, I wouldn't use it.

Really, only 21 psi? whats the limiting factor the injectors or the pump?
Or is it all gas?
