Alright so I have my TurboXS MBC hooked up. The nipple coming out the side is going to the wastegate, the one on the bottom going to my nipple on my J pipe. The boost controller is fully closed and I'm still only getting 9psi of boost. Could my stock WGA be stuck closed? Or what else would cause this?

Make sure the nipples arent loose, if the lines are leaking it wont work correctly. You could try tapping off a different source for the boost pressure. I had NO control with my MBC off the nipple on the compressor housing, but when i moved it to my BOV line it holds boost rock solid. I'm running an NXS MBC.

Getting your vacuum source of the BOV line is not the correct way to do it. The BOV line should be ran strait from the intake with no interruptions, and the Wastegate/MBC source should be from the j-pipe also with no interruptions.

OP, have you tried switching the lines on the MBC and see if that helps? It should be from the j-pipe to the nipple on the side of the MBC, and then from the bottom of the MBC to the wastegate actuator. Did it work fine before you installed the MBC? Possibly use a vacuum tester to make sure the waste gate is opening correctly also.

That sounds like a boost leak to me. Mine is consistent, it will go right to 9 psi and stay there it won't drop off.

yeah, im still on the stock turbo. I heard that it could be my aftermarket ignition. I can see an electric current shooting from coil pack to coil pack, so maybe if they are failing could that be a possibility?
