hi im looking to up grade my stock brakes on my 2g eclipse GS to something a little bigger. Nt a big brake kit but calipers and rotors off an evo so some thing along the lines of that. im have plenty of clearance (18'' rims with 35 offset). Im looking what would bolt up right on or with a small amount of fabrication or part swap outs. If any one knows of already made kits out their that will fit let me know. Only looking for like 2 pistons nethin huge just a little more aggressive look and more stopping power.

or you could look up a 3000gt VR4 brake upgrade also. They are 4 piston calipers and use 13" rotors which aids the braking a lot. From the research I did the price difference between the gsx upgrade the vr4 is almost the same (caliper wise).

Look into it on 2gnt.com, they have an article on the wiki that tells you everything you need.

Evo brakes will also bolt right up, after you have the necessary JDM Galant knuckles shipped in. $$$

Or, you can do something like this...

I designed them myself however making another set of brackets wouldn't cost much.

I use(d) T6061 Aircraft grade billet stock, bolts right up to the stock knuckle. you will have to modify the rear brake bracket however for the rear calipers to work.

The kit uses Evo Rotors, I choose Baer 2 Piece rotors, however you can use, brembo, giro-disk, baer, power slot, or even stock rotors.

I do a lot of in town driving so i really dnt stop them hard but i would do it for the match set. that and when i need the extra stoping power its their. I planing on working the car up to track level but in deploing to afgan soon so its ganna be a while so im resercing ways to upgrade want to run low 11's or my be high 10's

11s in a fwd 2g isn't hard, 10s their are only a handful that I know of.

re-setting brake bias' really isn't that hard at all, so upgrading the rear brakes to whatever you want doesn't matter as long as you have the f/r pressures set right. nothing a simple brake pressure gauge and an adjustable proportioning valve can't fix.

fronts are wilwood SL-6 6 piston thermlock

rears are wilwood forged billet dynalite 4 piston thermlock also

set up is built for road coarse but designed to lock up the rear with out an e-brake for drag pre-load and launching with out binding the front drive train.
