I can't post in the correct forum because I'm still a new member, so I will post my question here.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Powe...016QQitemZ260084372082QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Does anyone have experience with this brake kit? If so, what is the smaller size wheel that can be used with these rotors? Do you know what vehicle these rotors are for? I know this kit is just rotors and brackets, but I need new rotors and hate to buy stockers.

I am getting 18's next month to run in the summer, but I plan to run my 16" OZ wheels during the winter. I'm picking up a stage 2 HRC kit this week and getting Koni's and Eibach Pro's prior to the 18 and hate small brakes with bigger wheels.

I'm also open to suggestion!!

Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

as my advice with previous failures for ebay, dont buy any performance part from ebay that has anything to do with performance on your car ( i.e turbo, fuel pump, rotors, bov's, etc.) for one reason and one reason only...... you dont know for sure if they are the real deal or just knock offs. If your gonna buy a rotor set go to brembo.com and look up your car they will have wheel sizes and everything for you listed there so you can fit the 16's and 18's on the same rotor ( can i ask why you want to switch during the winter?) anyway check it out. if you want to buy something from ebay try things like headlights or gauge faces for your car, shifter knobs , and things like that. That stuff dosent really affect your cars performance.

have fun

Now I wouldnt go that far with the whole ebay thing... Ive purchased quite a few things off of ebay for a previous car I had and never had any problems with it. You just have to actually look and actually read everything in the auction.. and if it sounds to good to be true then it ###### is... but to answer your question... it states in the auction and ###### on the power slot website that you will need 17" wheels or bigger.... so your 18's would be perfect but you might have some problems come winter when you try to put the stock 16's back on... also states that you wont be able to use the stock wheels in that same auction to... so my guess would be that you would need to use your 18" wheels all wheel around. I've heard that is a good kit for the price and will definitly help out.. but if I was you.. I wouldnt risk it if you are just gonna run your 16" in the winter. Thats my 2 cents... on the matter.

yeah definitly dont know what happened.. I hit the button twice cause I edited something while it was processing.. so i dont know.. sorry about it posting like crazy.

No offense, but you can get 2g AWD 2pistion calipers for a little bit more money, with the slotted rotors, pads, and even lines for like $100 more. Check out Road Race Engineering and you won't be dissapointed.

I agree with bigrand, but if you gotta do this I recommend combining both options, the right way the first time.

The benefit of the AWD calipers are their double piston, vs. our single piston. I just ordered the AWD calipers from a junkyard as well as those power slot rotors, only I bought the power slot big brakes for an AWD.

Increasing the pistons is a much more noticable difference, in brake performance, than getting bigger rotors...

**note**: With the route I went, the new rotors required at least a 17" rim for clearance for the caliper.

also,
Bigrand's route is definately more cost efficient, rotors, calipers, stainless steel line(help remove spongy pedal), and brake pads. My setup does not have Stainless steel brake lines.
Here are a couple pictures of my setup:

I just ordered a GSX front brake setup. That will be OK for now. I will wait to see what's happens with the turbo kit I just bought before I go any bigger with the brakes. Thanks for the info guys.
