I just recently installed an injen intake on my 2g awd. during the install i had to disconnect power because the pos. terminal was alittle corroded, so the ecu was reset and then intake was installed.

when i started up the car and drove it, it acted the same way it would if you vent your bov at first, when you let off the throttle, rpms would drop and it would stall. after driving around for a bit it went away, but under boost the car wont accelerate. It accelerates faster at part throttle than full throttle. I figured it was a boost leak and found one clamp very loose on my LICP. so i happily drove my car only to discover no change.... Tomorrow i will go to see what the CEL is throwing because i kno its suppost to be on because i removed my BCS and then lost it. I will update this tomorrow but any help would be excellent. I have $0 so i really cant make a boost leak tester yet... this is very frustrating, to do a power increasing mod to have my car slower than it was before.

Make sure the mas is plugged in and proper couplers are used on the intake pipe, make sure there are no leaks between the mas and turbo. Also, if you found a loose clamp on the licp, I'm willing to bet you have other leaks, a leak test is in order. How much vacuum are you pulling at idle?

Then I would get the CEL pulled again just in case if you have more than one stored in the ECU, I suspect it might be the mas, did you check the mas plug?

Today me and my friend made a boost leak tester with spare parts. we managed to fix some of the boost leaks, however it is an improvement it feels strong up until its over 4psi or so after that it bogs again. When we were doing the leak test, air was leaking out of the vent on the valve cover where i just have a filter clamped onto it.... im not really sure if thats normal... the outlet to the 14b seems to be the main problem. The threads need to be retapped on the compressor housing on the 14b because at the very bottom of the hole they are stripped and cant be tightened as much as i would like them to be. He gave me a BCS that he has laying around so I will rewire that up and see if the CEL goes away ( hopefully! ) and i will check for more boost leaks and report back! thanks for all the imput guys :thumb:

I honestly doubt the MAS is unplugged. One day, while running my intake and WG lines, I unplugged the MAS and forgot. The car started right up, but immediately threw a CEL and the car would barely move under its own power. The results are much more severe then what he is experiencing. Literally, the car was powerless. Plugged it back in, and went back to normal. This is why I don't think his MAS is unplugged.

Thanks for the imput guys, Im going to check for more boost leaks and see if i cant get the 14b outlet to seal better and i will be fixing the bcs to get rid of the CEL

CEL codes:
P0170 Fuel Trim (Bank 1)
P0136 O2 Circuit ( bank 1 sensor 2 )
P0141 O2 heater Circuit ( bank 1 sensor 2 )
P1104 Wategate Solenoid Malfunction

It gave me another 4 codes but they were just the same codes repeated. I made a O2 simulator for the rear O2 plug but the resistor gets too hot and i need a higher wattage resistor for the heater element. Vfaq says to use at least 12 watt rated resistor and im using a 20 watt and it heats up to the point where i cant even touch it... what resistor wattage rating should i replace it with? after that is plugged back in the 02 codes will go away and then im just left with the bcs and fuel trim codes. If i fix the bcs will the fuel trim codes go away? Im running super rich and it keep fouling plugs which is the reason why my car bogs and stutters at 4000+ rpm on full boost.
Thanks
