I just replaced the TCU because it was in limp mode, but this started about a few days before I did that. If I am at a low RPM (either stopped at a light at around 900 or anywhere up to 1400) when I give it gas, the car will drop to 500-600 RPM and sputter, but not die. I can hold the gas on how ever long I want and it wont die, just after a few seconds a CEL will come on. Once I let off the gas, then step on it again, the car will run fine. This has been happening like 4-5 times a day for a week but today it seemed to do it a little more frequently. There was a small crack in my valve cover, and when I took it off today to JB Weld, I took out my spark plugs and noticed they were gapped horribly by the previous owner, with a range of .010 to .038, and I believe turbo engines are supposed to be gapped to .032, so I figure thats part of the problem. I am going to get new plugs even though they arent fouled because I don't know the last time they were replaced, and I might get plug wires too for the same reasons and I will post the results. In the meantime, anyone have any insight to this problem? If you need to know more information, just post it. Thanks

Tim

:edit: also my oil is way overfilled (like halfway up the dipstick), as soon as i get the valve cover back on im taking it back to my dads shop to raise holy hell, thats probably not much of a problem but im just trying to provide all information.

Ok.
I had an oil change....I went to NGK bpr6es plugs gapped at .032"....seemed to help it a little bit but not much. The car just overall runs better which probably helps it haha.
I also discovered the car starts bogging only when I accelerate, and it does it the most when the car is warm. The warmer the car gets, the more it bogs. This makes me lean to plug wires because heat can interfere with electricity. I also thought it only bogged when I hit boost, but that was not necessarily true, but most of the time this happens when I am under boost. I am by no means a mechanic, nor are any of the mechanics around here either really so I need some help here.

Thanks in advance
Tim

First I would go through and check all of your vacume lines. If you have a bad enough vacume leak it could definatly cause some bogging down. also have you tried any injector cleaner? you might have some dirty injectors or a dirty fuel filter. Also double check that your not overfilled agian. Overfilling that much on oil is definatly not good for your car and it can cause a bogging feel but usually not right off the start. Usually after driving for a little bit where your at least boostin a little you will get to much oil into your turbo and your gravity oil drain in your turbo wont be able to drain the oil fast enough. but try vacume and fuel problems and get back to me.
