ok i have a leak on my intake manny and we tried to change the gasket on it and ended up not being able to get to the bottom bolts, well this isnt the problem. the problem is when doing this I took off the fuel rail and put new orings on top, and when i hooked it back up 1 was leakin, put a new oring on that one and then another was leaking... finally got it when none were leaking, took it for a drive it felt and pulled hard, i also put the throttle cable on a little tighter cause on my AFC it wasnt hitting 100% throttle when flooring it.

so it worked fine, and im driving home from my friends house, boosting a lot cause my car hasnt been able to boost normal in a while. and i pull out of a tollboth and when i hit about 12PSI my car starts boggin a little and if i keep holding the gas it bogsd for like 2-3 sec and then the boost goes up normal and stays till redline. it does this in every gear. i checked and it doesnt look like any injectors are leaking. also im not sure if its related to the injectors or possibly the throttle cable, but when i press down on the clutch to shift, the car kinda jerks more then normal, like im in 2nd , hit clutch, car jerks, and then i put it in 3rd and let go... kinda weird.

anyway, couple problems in there, summary:

bogging at 10-12PSI then after a couple seconds is normal
weird jerking when pressing clutch down only sometimes
should my AFC read like 0.0-0.3 throttle at idle, i dont remember if it used to do this

i think you had a pcv valve off that i oversaw when putting it back together at liek midnight.

about time something went right with the car. :thumb:

his pcv valve wasnt on and laying under the fuel rail. still connected to hose but not valve cover

yeah this thread is the fault of john here... :p

moral of the story kids... dont take off your PCV valve and not put it back on :shhh:

nobodys perfect. we just wont discuss this subject again.LOL

nwo for the boost leak thats makin me insanely mad

I have the same problem. My STFT is all over the place, sometimes spiking at 10 and sometimes -10. Have stuttering after 12psi and it quits after a couple seconds. I pressure tested the intake in steps starting from the turbo inlet back, then right to the throttle body. I can't hold ANY pressure from the TB elbow back (toward engine). The leak must be so big that I can't hear it, not even with a hand pump.
I'm pretty sure from the only places I can HAVE leaks are the leak tester itsself, TB front and rear gasket, intake mani gasket, injector o-rings, and valve overlap (which I know is not it since I cranked it a little a few times between tests.). Any insight wouldbe appreciated, or if you find the leak, I'd like to know where it was for you. I gotta get this under control.

Edit: my vac shows up as 25in/Hg at idle on my boost gauge, if it makes a difference.

DAMN SON YOU SHOULD ONLY HAVE 15in/hg AT IDLE AND ABOUT 22-25 in/hg DURING DECELERATION.YOUVE GOT A BOOOOOOOST LEEEEAAAKK!
