body kit

I couldn't find if or where ths has been posted so here goes. I'm wondering if anybody has bought any of the body kits from ebay for the 1g's and if so how was the quality/ fit and finish. Anybody know?

C'mon. You mean to tell me no one has bought or used one of these kits? I've got to do body and paint work on the car anyway. I figured that I would entertain the idea of putting a drift kit on. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Anybody?

Well when I got my drift kit I ended up purchasing it through VIS. But you can probably go to any type of car shop and they should be able to get you a kit. I never got one through the internet though sorry.

you won't find many 1g'ers on here with bodykits, and out of that small number the number of people who bought through ebay will be even smaller. give them more than 4 hours to read the thread next time.

Sorry, didn' mean to be so impatient. I guess I'm getting a touch of cabin fever. Anyway, is there a reason that theres so few people buying off of ebay? Are these cheap kits, poor quality, or just plain knock offs that noone thinks is worth a crap? I know that there's kinda an unspoken rule that if you own a 1g, you don't put a body kit on because it's too rice. But, what some people think is rice, others don't. Now led squirters,altezza's, tire flys, bleachers uh I mean big spoilers are rice too me. But that's the beauty of America, everyone's entitled too their own opinion. Even if it isn't what everyone else believes. Oh no, there I go again rambling on. GOD D^%MN CABIN FEVER! PLEASE SPRING, COME!!!

it's mainly a number thing let's say 100 people buy 1g bodykits, 20 of those people buy them off of ebay, 2 of those people are on here, and there are 100+ new threads everyday to read through.

that's why it might take awhile to hear from them.

I actually saw a decent 1G kit a few days ago...

The only kit I would even consider putting on a 1G.

Thats the one. The drift kit if I'm not mistaken.Well the whole reason that I started this thread was to find out what the big diff. was so I didn't spen prematurely. Are the ebay kits going to be shipped with cracks or chunks missing? I know that being most of them are fiberglass that I will have to do some fitting/ modding but I don't want to have to replace a bunch of pieces or make up for poor workmanship. If that's the case, I'll spend a little bit more and buy from a regular online company rather than an ebay only company. Just wanted to see if anyones been burnt buy one of these places.

here's one 1g with a full drift kit. Street Weapons was the only place providing this kit i think they changed' their name. but if your looking for kits check out my friends site. based in San Diego.

from what i was told you can fit the 92-94 kits on the 90-91.

Umm well... Actually when I had my 93 gs I TRIED to purchase a bodykit through ebay, Over 1 year later, Guess how the quality is doing?!! Well, I wouldent know because they have never sent it and will no refund my money of $659.00. I just now about a month ago recieved a call from the state police of where this guy that made a fake company and everything else lives. Hopefully he will go to jail, If I lived in California, I think I would be the one in jail right now. I will badmouth ebay up and down from that day on.:thumbdown

sorry to hear your story. never trust ebay on most parts. As for body kits people need to shop around. you get what you pay for, as most people say. buying on ebay may seem like the easiest way to get parts cheap but why pay less for items you can directly get from vendors. Honestly half the people selling those body kits on ebay don't even have them instock. they probably can get a good deal from a vendor and claim a business on ebay and sell parts that way and profit. Thats just my 2cents cause some local guy tried using my friends business name and tried to profit off his business. blah blah...long story hope you find what your looking for.

for my taste but it looks pretty neat. Hopefully you plan on shoving some braces in that big black hole in the bumper.....that'd make it look pretty neat

yah i know he doesn't have pix of the kits, but if anyone needs any aftermarket body parts let me know what you might be interested in and i can surely get it. it's pretty sick cause he just shipped over a non turbo s-15 right hand drive. and he's putting some new kit on that. but yah mickblack...nice ride keep us posted on anything new w/ your ride.
