all the good looking body kits for EM1, EF8 CRX, 2004 ACCORD and my 99 ECLIPSE GSX and other cars, the kits and Hoods are starting and has been DISCONTINUED for the
resin of people with are cars are being scared away by others and pear pressured in to keeping there body's stock. there are signs of people hating on body kited cars.
the guys that made body kits or going out of business for lack of sales, because people are told to keep there body stock. i

Also the reason body kits are being discontinued is the same reason JNCO jeans went out of business, they were both dying fads from the 90's. They have no functionality that warrants keeping them around. On top of that they are expensive eye sores, I think you would have a much stronger case for bringing back flip up headlights, I would sign that petition in a heartbeat.

Also aftermarket hoods are a booming business?!?! I haven't seen a single EVO with a stock hood and just about every other modded car has a fiberglass or CF hood.

Yes! Go to a drag strip and everyone has the carbon fiber hood. But only the pure ricers and nostalgics have that 5 foot tall spoiler and 10 foot wide bumpers...

And btw, I have no problem modifying the body, but most of that crap is just goofy

the JT AUTO STYLE EVO 3 body kit is not a eye sore. it looks good i had one on my old gsx.
it look hot, and every body with out body kits couldn't say anything. we are missing some hoods that are good tho man. and i want for my future civic. i did find a nice hood for the gsx

That is where opinions differ. I believe that kit belongs in some need for speed or midnight club game. It is akin to somebody walking down the street wearing lime green parachute pants, a blaze orange bomber jacket, and a bright pink hat, turned backwards, while blasting vanilla ice on a "boombox" carried on their shoulder. i dont know anybody who would see that and say "good for them" without snickering. i dont follow pop culture fads nor am i member of the fashion police but therr has to be a limit to what is deemed at least socially responsible.

and why the loud annoying music? because you know on the ass end of that thing lies a 4" type-r $70 on-special can.

are all bodykits horrible? no. are all stock body shapes great? no. it is in the realm of taste and to each their own. everyone who defends the frequently indefensible uses the quip "it isnt hurting anybody".

..except they forget about unneccesary noise pollution and giving people eye aneurysms.

i guess i just dont see the need for body kits. i didnt kit out my 2013.5 APR tuned S4.. but, then again, the body panels werent the ones that were doing the talking.

Certain body kits, along with spoilers/wings and hoods, look decent/appealing. Some do not. It all depends on how they go with the flow of the car it’s going on. What may look good on a Civic, might look like crap on a DSM. I’ve seen Rocket Bunny wide body kits look great on some cars, and others look absolutely hideous. But, and keep this in mind, the only opinion that should matter is your own. I’ve done things with both of my cars that some people dislike and others like. What matters comes down to if I like it.

Basically. it is just a design regardless of how loud it is, the owner is the one who has to live with it.. or appreciates it. however you regard the decision. dont like? look away. laugh if you want, but its not really much different than the weird directikn manufacturers are taking with design and colour.
i personally cant stand many factory colours of subarus and mitsubishis now, especially on the mirage.
in the end, whatever. they want to run around with a mesh top cut off halfway up their torso (see: doug whitmore)? let em.

where i draw the line is idiot exhausts. that IS a public nuisance and, in certain cases, can be a public health and wellbeing issue. i dont know if they didnt get enough attention as children but that is not the way to express teenage angst.

Some exhaust systems are for performance, and some are just ridiculous. There are Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Borla, etc. But then there are $30 fart cans from Ebay...

Personally I couldn't care less about "show". I'm function over form, but if ppl want to make their car look like something it's not, by all means go for it.

They're expensive, not functional, generally don't look that good (I don't mind RB stuff but would never pay for it) and rarely for well. For someone to make truly good body kits that fit well, gave at least a little function and looked decent, you'd spend an ungodly amount of money on them.

Similar to the eBay vs name brand turbo thing: you can get a "turbo" for ~100 from eBay, but good luck in every aspect with them, or you can pay for a quality piece. So take a typical body kit price (around 2k?) And quadruple that for something with all the aspects that makes it appealing to a car enthusiast group to ensure popularity. Now you have something ppl want, but don't want to pay that much for unless they're competing. "What's that? I can't win money, let alone hardly anything with my flashy, kitted up F&F mobile???

I guess in the end: going fast can win you money, and only 1% of cars can get money for how they look.

I think all tuner rants inevitably turn to those reviled fart cannons. Washington state passed a bill recently that can strap fart cannon users with a $500 ticket, so it'd be cheaper to go back to that stock exhaust for some...

Also I just want to clarify that I excluded wide-body kits from my logic earlier. I think on the right car those can look downright mean, just not ours (personal opinion).

i dont think it spiraled. ricer cans are body kits for basically body kits of exhaust tips. i lump them all into one general category but maintain one is more damaging to public health than the other

the forum was started because i can get any good body kits for me cars. we are only lift with junk.
and a few good looking hood's. I'm mad very mad. I'm trying to build some RACE TUNER CARS
that have class. and i can't get the body parts i want. it like i have to custom make it. but i need
tooling mould's for it. and i em trying to get the moulds but no luck yet.

the cars are 20 years old now, were never produced in actual large numbers, were niche then as they are now and even in their prime there werent many body kits because the factory design just didnt need them.
my take:
the 2gb is sex on four wheels
the 1ga is raw, however you take that
the 2ga talon is the problem child with the lazy eye, sometimes drools, but has an attitude problem
the 1gb is the 1ga dressed up for church

if its such a problem for kits, stick with a platform that has ample aftermarket bedazzle support.

Unrelated to the topic at hand but you sparked my interest. How truly rare is my car or your car? I'd be interested to get an actual number just for... uhhhh... to brag?

Also to add to the topic: I wasn't the hugest fan of my Talon's bodykit when I bought it. Within a week I took off the huge rear bumper. I'm planning to fix up the curvey-ness that the kit lacks near the doors simply by taking stuff off until I like it. HOWEVER. I really like this front bumper. To me, it gave the car a lot of character, and separated itself from other DSMs. Also I think it looks like Toothless the Dragon and I feel like I can't go back after everybody in my area started calling it Toothless.
Point being: some parts of body kits can fit relatively well and stand apart, while not being too ricey (at least I think so).

Oh and big wangs, cool on some cars, don't think they fit too well with DSMs. Mine is coming off as soon as I can get my hands on a CF hatch and ducktail.

You do realize you are about 20 years too late right? The Tuner scene is not nearly as active as it was at the height of the Fast and Furious craze, not to mention that most kits make our platform look like shit, I can literally think of NOBODY that is looking for or wants a body kit for a DSM, whether it be a 1G or 2G..

While I'd be intrigued to see what would be done with such, I can almost guarantee it'll be bubbled-garbage and cost a fortune. Plus I don't want my car to look like every drift car done in the past 8-10 years. I'd love a true 1gb widebody that ACTUALLY widens the car and adds aero and cooling function in, but once again it's be obscenely expensive, probably add weight and be a biatch to install and have look correct. Think how @JayRome did his eternia widebody. I have a bit of a crush on that look.

Besides, as stated above, the 1gb and 2gb look great as is (I'm taking the 1ga "raw" comment negatively) so why change something that looks good already? I get personalization, but where is the line drawn at making it unique vs. gawdy, overpriced garbage. Just cuz you're different, doesn't make it worth it.

well i talk to JT AUTO STYLE about the EVO 3 style Eclipse body kit and he will make more if i can get
15 to 20 cars done. do we need a group buy thing going on here, on bodykits.com they go for under 800$ for a full fb rb ss kit. i don't think I'm good a-naff to do so. but i want the tooling moulds JT has. copy or something. and i am planing to mike a EVO 3 style wide body for mitsu GSX, Honda AWD EM1 DSMed, and 90-91 AWD CRX DSMed. all cars that i like. and I'm also looking for the tooling moulds for the e46 m3. from ASUKA DESIGN. i found out there there old wide body tooling moulds are so I'm going to buy them.
