Yeah, my 91 GSX has been blowing a little blue smoke since I got it, but after I let dipshit drive it and run it out of oil, it's gotten alot worse.

So I did a compression test today, it was 120-115-116-120. Not real good, but since it's basically even all the way across that means that it's probably not my rings, right?

I changed my PVC valve (which was totally clogged) and that helped out a little bit with the smoking.

I also ran Seafoam in the intake today, and changed my plugs and oil. That helped a little with the smoking also, but it didn't help my idle surge like I thought it would. While doing to seafoam though, I noticed a crack in my downpipe that quite a bit of smoke was getting out of, don't know if that may have anything to do with it.

So I am yet to figure out where the rest of the smoke is coming from. Not the turbo, there is no shaft play, and the smoking doesn't get any worse in boost. The smoke is most noticeable in reverse and 1st gear, or when going at about 3000rpms.

Any suggestions?

i had bad results on my compression test. was that compression test dry or wet? if it was dry id say valve seals, if it was wet id say piston rings

I guess I'd say dry, but I really don't know the difference between the 2, someone fill me in?

When you do a wet test you just put a couple drops of oil in the cylinders, and then do the test. If the cylinder compression rises over 120 or whatever that cylinder was, then the rings are toast. If the compression ratio stays the same then the valves are probably burnt.
