Blown turbo? oil in intake pipe, vid inside thread.

Hey, my car has been smoking blue, alot over the past few days. So i decided to pull the intake pipe off, and i found a decent amount of oil in it. I have a good amount of side/side shaft play, but no in and out.
heres the vid... Sorry for the crappy quality.
More towards the end of the video you can really see it moving. It's hitting the walls.
So, Is it blown?

are you planning on modding the vehicle? I would try to find a 16g small 16g for a decent price.

ya, i was debating on selling it, or keeping it and modding it. But i think i might just sell it.

You could get it rebuilt for around what you'll pay for a used 14B. If it's rebuilt you'll know what you have and you won't be taking a chance with someone else's garbage.

It's also a good time to upgrade if you've been thinking about doing so.

yeah defintitly get new turbo and if you decide to upgrade your turbo please and i say this with experience dont go with a GARRET ive had 2 in the last 4 days and both blew the deay after i got em now i have a turbonetics and its working great no problems

Sorry to semi resurrect this thread, but I had/have the same issue. It would blow blue smoke after warming up, would stop on boost and smoke while driving around town under vacuum. I took the intake off to find pools of oil everywhere in my intercooler pipes, intake pipe a little and a nice pool at the compressor inlet. It also had a nasty side to side play that clunked when I moved it.

Basically it started after a wot run getting onto the highway, and the 2 days I drove it while it smoked(I was desperate and it was only a 5 or less mile driving per day) it would boost normal half the time and the rest wouldn't really boost at all (insta boost t25). So here I am with a DSM in pieces waiting on the boxes from Slowboy to arrive, just need to clean my UICP and SMIC.
