ok, so i went to the j yard today to get a ISC motor and coolant temperature sensor for my 92 GS. and i put the ISC motor in First. the only ISC motor i could find was one of a galant, it had the same TB and everything, turns out, i think i was wrong. was i? i put it in, and it seemed to work, it controlled the idle and everything, then i started smelling burnt electrical componets, so obviously i thought that it would be the ISC i put in. and as it turns out, i jus took the ECU apart and one of the IC's inside are toast. it is the IC in the location of IC 105 on the board. for now im gonna try to trace the wires to the ECU connecter and see where it leads to to find the problem, but if anyone has any information on this whatsoever, please help me. i hardly have any electrical experience with cars at all. it would be greatly appriciated if i could get some guidance on this. thanks everyone.

also if it helps, the numbers on the ISC i bought are, 1807 C, and E9T15271A

ok, so i finally found a direct answer through searching. i guess there is a first time for everything. turns out that IC is related directly to the ISC motor coils B1 and B2. and the IC107 are related to coils A1 and A2. so now i understand that, this ISC is either the wrong one? or that the coils have just shorted out? can anyone tell me if this is even the right ISC motor for this car? and where i could get a good deal on an ECU?

also, would that mean that the coils B1 and b2 have shorted? since the only IC blown is IC105?

thanx

well see, ive already done that. i tested all of the coils in the motor before i even put it in, and they seemed ok. but i also checked it after all of this happened, and two of the coils are bad, one is 2ohms, and the other is 200ohms. so i guess it was somewhat bad before, because the ohms were like 38ohms, when they were supposed to be between 28 and 33ohms, i jus didnt think all of this would happen if it was just off a little ya know.

well ive pretty much figured everything out i think, i just need someone to tell me if the motor i bought out of the galant was the right motor, and what other cars have these same ISC motors, being that i still need one plus an ECU now. so if anyone could answer that for me it would be greatly appreciated...

thanx

thanks man, thats all i needed to know. i guess everything worked out for the better, my car seems to run smoother, and it isnt givin any CEL codes now, so once i get an ISC ill be fine for a while i guess.

thanks all
