Blown engine...is it possible only damage to head and not block..?

hey guys....i unfortunately ruined my engine that was recently rebuilt by the person i bought it from....my car sprung a bad oil leak and my engine starved for oil and was too late before i noticed it....i recently changed my oil and i put 5 quarts every time to be safe but i did not know the extent of the oil leak my car had....my question is what are the chances that i just have head damage to the valves/springs...? or may my block and pistons maybe damaged as well...? the engine was built with wiseco pistons/eagle rods and other internals and if i can reuse my block and just have my head rebuilt or replaced....i could definately save some money on a rebuild....what do you guys think...?
will i have to fork out money for a whole new engine or is it possible i may just need to replace the head....?

If the motor was blown due to oil starvation it's time for a full rebuild. The bottom end is probably what took the worst of it.....

Oil loss is bearing damage. Figure on replacing the crank and the head (from camshaft bearing damage). If you didn't spin any rod bearings, or a balance shaft bearing, the rods and block may be recoverable or even undamaged. Have the pistons and gudgeon pins and their bosses thoroughly inspected- however being sure that it's done properly may cost more than replacement.
Oil is everything to a running motor.
