I have bad blow by and i have a newly 6 bolt built with .20 over. due to budget restraint i had to buy a 30 dllr catch can. my oil dip stick is blowing out on boost.

i places this catch can connecting the vaccum line that goes to the turbo intake pipe from the Valve Cover to one port of the catch can. As i read this thread (The 4G63T PCV System) by Calan, it says we need a vaccum source at all times.

since by FP intake doesnt have the port to connect the vc vaccum line, i connected a vaccum line from the Cyclone intake manifold to the catch can on the other port.

will the intake manifild be a good vaccum source to release positive crank case pressure during boost.?

The PCV valve is connected to the intake with a one way check valve.

im thinking the catch can been vented with a filter, ill be defeating the purpose of aliviating crank case pressure under boost.

this are some pics of my temporary setup.

1st pic shows the catch can im using
2nd pic shows where i connected the CV vaccum line to the catch can.
3rd pic shows where the vaccum source from the intake manifold. The cyclone has 3 ports in front, im using the secon one for this.

please give me your thoughts.

Is there a check valve between the catch can and intake manifold? If not, your letting boost pressure into the catch can and basically defeating the entire purpose. The intake manifold is only a good source of vacuum when idling/cruising. Otherwise the only good source of vacuum is pre-turbo. I would suggest putting a fitting on the FP intake and running a line from the catch can to that fitting. With that system, you would need to eliminate the filter as well. Either that or run just that one valve cover line straight to the vented can. But that will have less than great results.
 
I can install a check valve but i wont need it if im just idling and cruising, right?

This means i cant boost up the car until running the vaccum pre turbo?

You may as well say, "Oh well. I have no water to put this fire out, I'll just use gasoline instead."

Every time you boost, you are pushing all the boost pressure directly into your crankcase, and out the dipstick tube. You'll be lucky if you didn't blow any oil seals out.

This means I shouldn't drive the car at all until running the vaccum pre turbo?

Ill return to the stock turbo intake setup until i get the pre turbo fitting and catchcan.

You may as well say, "Oh well. I have no water to put this fire out, I'll just use gasoline instead."
