Hey Everyone, I'm prepping my block getting ready to install a new headgasket. I checked for flatness and everything checked out OK, but i looked real close for imperfections between my cylinders and took these images with my iphone. Maybe im just being paranoid, but would you say these are bad enough i should have the block decked or should i use a copper spray under my gasket or is it really just not that bad? I'm not sure what kind of imperfections are passable.
(extra info: im using a Felpro composite headgasket, ARP studs, the head has already been fully rebuilt and machined at a shop)

Using a composite gasket I think you'll be just fine, no copper spray needed.

But if it's questionable or you're worried at all, it's an amazing piece of mind to just go ahead and have it decked and be done with it.

Hard to go back now, but I always have the block decked. That way it is a flat as your machinist can get it. Throw a composite on, and if it makes you feel better, give it a coat of CopperCoat. It won't hurt until you go to remove it and have to clean the deck of the spray.

UPDATE: Turns out my cylinders are scratched to hell anyways, so i gotta pull everything apart and get it bored out. I'm already 20 over. Hopefully they will come out with another 20 or 40 over putting me up to 0.06" over. I'll make updates in another post
