alright last night i was driving all of a sudden my lights dim and the horn just goes off. i pull over pop the hood and look at the fuses. the alt fuseible link blew. i also noticed my windows and headlights did not work. when i went to turn my headlights on the horn would go of again . so today i picked up new fusible link i replace . then i go to connect the battery back up and i watched the fuse blow again. any ideas? need help asap..

The easiest thing to check would be the connections on the alternator themselves. See if the positive terminal on the alternator is touching something it shouldn't. If not then you have a frayed wire grounding out some were along the line that you will have to find.

will do. im going outside right now to take a look. ill post back in few if i see anything out of the normal... also does it help that i broke the upper motor mount and the engine was cocked back i little bit? maybe that could of casued something to short out?

has happen to me a couple of times. but Due to the fact that it was grounding somewhere, And that one of my connections were loose in the alternator.
but yes, sucks having that fkin horn go off until u disconnect the battery,

yea im gonna take it off. we have connections at the local napa due to the firedept so i get evrything i need for cost and no tax : ) .. ill just throw a new alternator in there anyway haha. ill let you guys know what happens.
