blew ecu up?

i was putting back ecu after afc wiring work and i guess i didnt tape something up completely and it shorted out when i turned on the car. smoke came out of dash. after that, car wouldnt start, no lights show up on dash etc. only the door buzzer beeps when the door is open. i checked the 30A ignition fuse under the hood and it was blown.

auto parts store is closed so i dont have a spare, but is it possible that my ecu got damaged when this happenned?

i will replace the fuse tomorrow and see what happens but if anyone has any idea if the ecu is ####ed, id like to know asap.

EDIT: I Replaced the fuse tonight. The car starts but I have a CEL. when i turn the car onto ACC the injectors start clicking really loud for a few seconds. the power door locks/windows still dont work either

EDIT2: CEL is #12 (MAFS) the afc and logger are both reading no airflow.

i checked the airflow wires and they are both wired properly.

Chances are good that something in the AFC may have gotten toasted. I would try hooking the MAF back to the ECU to see if it will work in factory configuration - that way you can rule out the SAFC as a potential problem.

The AFC ended up being the problem.

Somehow, it managed to change the settings to hotwire mas, 6cyl, 20%lo/50%hi throttle settings. It left my actual HI/LO compensations alone though.

No clue why it did that...?

The light on the AFC dimms really low now though and I cant figure out why... Any ideas on that?
