Bleeder valve question

Just installed a big 16G. I want to keep the boost at 14psi or lower but am not sure what the big 16G wastegate setting is at. Now I have a bleeder valve and about to put it on but want to know the pro's and cons of the bleeder valves. Is a bleeder valve considered a leak? Thanks

The wastegate is probably set to open around 8-10psi. I would just connect the wastegate directly to your boost source (j pipe nipple, compressor housing nipple, etc.) and run it that way, as that will be the lowest it will open.
