yes u have to smoke(tint) them, sumthin about putting them in the oven to heat the adhesive so u can pull them apart....use duplicolor lacquer paint for it, u can find it at autozone....also do a search about it
sorry there are covers u can buy but the smoking them is less expensive
 
I have them done on my car and it looks great, i also have my front bumper lights done. Whoever said you have to take apart the lights, they are wrong, just get some Niteshades spray tint and it goes on the exterior of the lens. You have to take apart the headlights to smoke the housings in the front but the tails you just spray them on top, i recommend no more then 2 coats that is what i have on mine. check out my gallery for pics.
