I bent a rim and so I went a little too far when I replaced it and powdered them Mercedes black. Lip is Duplicolor bronze. New tires: pirelli pzero nero M&S 225/45. I have a clear corner on one side and stock amber corners on the other side because I wanted to see if it would look better orange again with the new wheels. Both orange markers are back on the car now. Edit: I guess the site resized them again sorry the quality is sort of bad now but you can click them and they go back to the other size.

Some of the pics look way to dark, it wasnt my fault it was cloudy! You may need to adjust your brightness.
If you want to see more pics and process before they were mounted they are here:

Tint, suspension, and it will look perfect. Good job on the rims, how long did it take you? I'm about to try mine in gunmetal w/ a yellow lip on a 2gb gsx

Nice job on the rims. I also have black GSX on mine. Get some springs or coilovers and it will really look sweet.

Thanks guys Im actually Planning tint and suspension soon. My first priority was a CF hatch because mine is an obvious repaint. I was going to get it used, so if he sells it before I have the money then I wont bother. I need a BOV too because mine is leaking bad. Then tint and suspension fall on the list somewhere after that :)
Since those pics I also painted the rust on the front brakes black with VHT. I just have to find time to do the rears now.
I spent about 9 hours sanding the rims down to prep for powder. The local shop did the powder, and it came out bad the first time so they had to recoat them. Then I took an hour or so carefully sanding each lip down, without scratching the face. My uncle used to paint and came by and painted them with the duplicolor wheel paint in a spay can that I bought. He didnt take too long, maybe an hour or so.
As I said process is on the other link ;)

That looks really good, I would love to do that to my black GSX, unfortunately I can never find a good price on GSX wheels.

I Did this same kinda thing to my red 1gb awd talon. Black stock wheels W/Red Lip.

OP, I think the way you thought up the color was perfect! The black matches the car, the bronze matches the Carbon Fiber! You should do the Calipers in Bronze.

I was actually going to do the calipers bronze LOL. But I did it the lazy way and sprayed them on the car as bleeding the brakes was not possible at the time and I had no brake fluid. I think the front would look good bronze but the rear are tiny and not shure we want to show em off or not. If I can get around to it you made me rethink the idea :p.
And stating that bronze and CF match is interesting. I didnt really see that untill you said it.
edit: Oh and by the way I dont know if anyone noticed but that is not the stock exhuast. It is actually 3 inch turboback with magnaflow 3 inch Cat and muffler ;) and the tripple pod is sorta hiding in the window reflections. Thats about it for mods so far.

You can do it on the car! Just jack the car up, put it on stands, take the wheels off and mask around the calipers! Its soo easy to shove news paper Under the brakes. Thats how I painted mine...

I know everyone does red calipers and crap like that, But I'm just matching my car! My friend painted his stock GST 5spokes black, lowered the car, and I painted the insides of his headlights white to match his car, and I had him paint the calipers white, and he loves it. It looks sooooo great!

Looks awesome man, great job! I don't know if I'd paint just the front calipers bronze and then not do the back it might look weird... just my .02.

haha too much school and work, and rain up here lately to do any painting! Be assured I plan on doing it. I will likely get to work on it saturday if the weather clears up. I mise well also advertise its getting a CF hatch in the next month or so aswell. I pay for it next week and its gota get sent from virginia. Then I have to pick it up in niagra falls and put it on :D

Spare set of wheels I started on today to expirament with a new Rustoleum Paint. Performance Wheel and Engine Paint. Its crap! Pure Crap! Will never look at it again! Was trying to Achieve the Semi Gloss black with Flat Red Lip.

Did same prep work I've done with all the other thousands of wheels I've done, but paint doesn't stick. bubbles and other crap. I'd get luckier with Charcoal, superglue and blood!

Easy lip idea instead of painting. Go to your local parts house and buy some pin striping and just take your time. It looks the same until you get down and close, and when the guy who puts on your tire jacks it up, you can always redo it without having to repaint.
