big16g with stock exhaust

My current turbo is burning oil so I was thinking about upgrading to a big16g. I can't afford to buy an exhaust yet so I'll lower boost. My question is, what gauge should I get besides boost? Maybe exhaust temp since I'll be running stock on a bigger turbo? Or what would you recommend. Also, is there anything else necessary for this upgrade besides mbc, turbo, 2g install kit, and gauges?

There is nothing necessary to put on a 16g besides the "kit". Dont run more than 12psi and you will be fine.

It all depends on what you will do with the car later on. To max that turbo out you will need injectors, fmic, exhuast and so on.

As of right now id get a egt guage since your going to have the turbo off you can tap the exhuast manifold pretty easy. Thats about it, it will run fine with what you have just dont go boost crazy stay around 10-12psi.

Then upgrade exhuast and you should be able to run 15-16psi with a fuel pump. That would be the next thing i would get in your situation would be an upgraded pump. Either a 190,255 or a supra pump.

Yea just be cool on the boost and you will be fine. Once the exhaust/fuel upgrades are done you can crank up the boost.

You should be able to run 14-15 psi just fine. You will have slower sppol and the motor will not be flowing as much air through it due to the exaust so you even have some more safety margin there.
