I have a question:
I got a good deal on a b16g (clipped) w/o the hot side, I was going to put a 6cm housing on there because I have a few laying around. What will this do for spool times? Is it going to be faster than a b16g with a 7cm housing??

No I will not buy a bulls-eye housing so please recommend it.

I was just wondering if anyone has run this before or would have an idea of what it would be like compared to a 7cm housing.

Thanks for the space :thumb:

yeah you can do it just fine - just bolt er up

itll spool faster and make less top end

and switching to a 7cm housing later is cake also so its no biggie

Unior speaks the truth.

A 6cm turbine housing was worth 400 rpm earlier spoolup on my small 16g with 10*clip. I had 15 psi by 2800 rpm vs. 3200 rpm using a 6cm vs. 7cm. Both housings were ported. I liked it better when I had an automatic, more grunt in the midrange and easier to get rolling off the line. I never noticed any drop in top end. As long as the 6cm housing and manifold is ported you should be very happy. Buschur ran 116 mph in the 1/4 mile with a Big16g and 6cm turbine housing. Your mileage may vary.

Good, thats what I wanted to hear! I have the evo3 mani, both the turbo and mani will get ported along with my evo o2 housing. The turbo is clipped so I figured that the top end loss won't be as significant. Thanks for the info :thumb:
