its jdmawd, he rarely does have something worthwhile to say......

well in this one thread.......no nevermind, wasn't worthwhile either.

oh and buschur should be able to get you almost anything you'd need done. from stroker blocks to clutches, turbos to tires. he's usually got it for a reasonable price if not always the lowest.

About Buschur, I'm not going to bash a shop I've never delt with but I have some friends that own shops (they don't SPECIALIZE in DSMs) that have met Dave Buschur and really are not impressed. He seemed to come off as kind of a jerk. They strongly recomended Brent Rau's Osofast racing. I know that Buschur runs 7s and Brent runs 8s but they said that Osofast comes off much friendlier while still being profesional.

Dude now your coming off like you are going to be friends with Buschur! The most important thing is he is going to sell you parts for your car. He is not going to be your best friend but he does have great customer service. He wont know you by name but he will make you a damn good deal and will back it up. I mean you already have your best "friend" right? I mean if you were wanting a friend go to the personals and if you want great performence at unbeatable prices got to Buschur! Thats just the bottom line. Like it or not. Just my .02 opinion. Who knows I am just a dumb Texan. But I know my sh*t. Later

I said nothing about being friends with Dave Buschur. The reason I make that a concern is I hate shops that get big egos. I used to deal with a shop like that and I stopped taking my buisiness to them. I'm sure they miss the thousands per year I would dump into my last few project cars. If you come off like you've got an attitude, my money and I will just go to the next shop that knows how to treat customers. I myself am in customer service for a dealership and if I would take an attitude with a customer they would'nt come back. Well, money is green no matter who is holding it. You don't have to respect the person but you should respect their money. Money talks, Bull $hit walks! I listen to my customers and then I take their money and they like me for it because I talk to them with the right attitude.

Not to be rude but what does your job have to do with Buschur? If I missed something then OK but heres the punchline...... not a best one stop DSM shop! Just not one out there! Buschur is good. I dont know about the group you said because I havent heard anything or done business with them. Slowboy is good. Thats your answer! Lets not get off topic. This is the turbo end of the forums... not the hangout and argue about my secret cars! You can save that for Honda forums and other sh*t. DSM'ers are honest and seriously I am tired of arguing back and forth and you are digging a hole and are jumping farther every time. Lets get this thread over with. Everyone agrees that there is no one stop shop! If you think there is then go for it! But like always that is my .02 opinion but I feel I am right in this situation! Lets move on to better subjects and take your secret cars to another forum or site!
Later

another thing to consider is that other than osofast racing, which isn't as complete a facility as dave's, there's noone else very close to you. honestly buschur's shop is at least a 6 hour drive from chicago. but even osofast racing has to be a good 6-8 hours away from you as well.

bottom line dave is your closest good all around dsm shop.

I dont know, but you guy's are coming down on this guy kind of hard. Dont yah think? He, has some good points in his defence. I used to do alot of street racing, and have seen big money one the table. Things do get out of hand somtimes. I dont do it anymore. I like the track better to be honest. But the whole deal with street racing is not to know what the other guy has or runs. Lets be honest here. If you knew i had full built 2.4 with a t66, stand alone, blah, blah, blah. You would think twice right?

You have probley seen that twin motor twin turbo tibiron, in the mags right? Well it was built for street racing. He would race bike's/car's, and bring in around 10,000 a night. The whole point is to be sneaky. Hide this hide that sort of thing. I also agree with what he said about bad attitudes. If i have the choice to have my work done buy some #######, that treats my business like ####, and then take my money. I would rather find somone else.

Extreme, Buschur, Pruven or TurboTrix. In no order. No one is going to be one stop though, they will all have to send the motor to their guy, etc.. But they will handle all the work though.

My thing- why are you being all secretive about a DSM and considering it a "big money maker". I'm sorry, I love my DSM's, but if you want a "big money maker" at the street races I attend, you will have your pride ripped apart and stomped on.. A local guy has a 7 second@ 17x mph big block turbo, DFIed 67 camaro at the "local" street races- THAT is a big money maker. If you guys are putting big $$$ on 10 and 11 second cars, you need to get a life :)... Cars like that race for $100-$500 tops around here- MAYBE $1000 if the other person is totally stupid :).

buschur might be a jerk because he doesn't like stupid punks like you and your streetracing friends.

no wonder you sound like a f'n tool...you work at a dealership HAHAHAHA

Thanks guys, finally some good answers. The rest of you can keep bashing away but it does't matter. I've got some good info from some of you who could stay focused about what the original intent of this thread was. I would also like to make a side note on that Tibiron, I have seen it first hand. Holy $hit!! That thing moves. The car and it's owner are from the Southern suburbs of Chicago. As to Joe's comment, just because that big block may run 7s doesn't mean we can't come at him with a 10 second car. There is such a thing as spotting the car out and giving the "hit" or the "leave" to the slower car. It's all nagotiable and this can truely become an art form because there are some people that are really good at it. I know some of you will say "Race heads-up or don't race at all". Well, sometimes you have to give a little to get people to race you. They'll think they have the advantage when they really don't.
I'm not going to go into it any further, just trust me.

Hummmmm, really. Well acually that car was from texas. I tryed to stick up for yah but now i know your a lier. Unless there is another one, which i doubt it. Im talking about the one that was in scc street car contest.

Yeah, and talking about OSOfast. Have you seen anything about the shop? I live in Minneapolis and the last I heard he still doesn't have a big shop. I know he has some connections with Elite, but his shop is pretty small. Brent has done some great things and is much friendlier the Buschur (not known for being a people person). From what I have heard, Brent is concentrating on some custom fabricating and tuning. There are a couple of very good machine shops in the twin cities though and I would not be afraid to hand my car over to Brent. Just don't expect a shop like Buschur's.

Umm- OK- do you mind if you start here and I start 6 blocks up? :) :) :)

I know how to street race, so don't insult me with your responses. I know how to spot someone, but pulling up to these guys in your v-tech and asking for spots will get you laughed at until you get mad enough you do your ricer dump it at 8K so I can try to spin one wheel and look cool launch and run home crying.. Just sounds like typical ricer crap.

PS- Wanna street race my Top Secret 90 Talon?? No buy in, just for fun :D... How about for titles. I'm sure I could sell your GSX or Hyundai (whatever you really got) for lunch money..

ROTFLOL!!! I just spoke with a sub 8 second guy I know and I mentioned this thread- he said "tell you what- tell him to get on whatever road they race on with whatever POS he is driving and call me from the starting line. after he takes off tell him to let us know where he is, we'll look it up on mapquest, print it out, load the car up, stop for food and to piss along the way and wait for him at the finish line" OMG :D OMG

He lives in NY :).... No offense, but I was laughing my f#$%ing a$$ off when he said that.. Thought others here would get a kick out of it :).
