Looking for some input. I currently have the greddy 24 on a TD05 20G, looking to get the FP3065 and a new intercooler.......... pipe routing doesn't matter, goin to get the maft (have dsmlink already) want at least 2 1/2" piping goin to get 2 1/2 all the way to intake (new one of them also). Don't care what I have to modify, just looking to see any personal experience with upgrades any one else might have done

TY, nope, don't care about wait or trimming!!! looks good......... wonder just how good it flows? It does look a lot like one I seen on SBR but this one I think is bigger...........well anyone else???????? come on what's the absolute best one out there?????

OMG, holy bejusus.......... NICE!!! and that is so funny, today while I was sitting in Iraq with nothing better to do, I read the research he did, not even knowing it was him (or them) and was impressed with what I read. TY BOTH OF YOU!!!! What kind of times or HP are you running with this........... and anychance do you know of anyone who was like me, just a "store" bought kit before (I have the greddy large) and just switched to this? ONCE again ty......... think it's the best I have seen so far......... anyone care to disagree?????

well, I really appriciate all the input, but to respond about it not making a difference, I reall think it will........... temp wise, and stress on the turbo, and air flow to my radiator......... keep in mind will get getting rid of the current turbo and goin with a 3065, larger piping, maft, new throttle body and intake...........

I haven't been to the track or the dyno since installing this. I need to get my throttle body rebuilt because it's leaking badly-- then I'm planning to do both track and dyno. Remember, though, that I have an A/T-- it sucks up HP pretty bad.

Oh, but it does! You say you want the best flowing, least pressure drop IC. The shorter the IC piping, then the less pressure drop you will have, and the less chance of messing up a IC pipe, or silicone connector, or getting boost leaks. Obviously a bette core will be bar and plate design, flow side to side, while utilizing end tanks on opposite ends. Personally, I would reccommend a nice, Garret or Spearco core, thats what most companies are using.

I definatly agree.......... big time......... I think I am goin with their race set up, 2 1/2" from FP 3065 to intercooler then 3" all the way to the end....... new intake and everything. OH, (the one who said it wouldn't make a difference) then I will have a used Greddy for sale here soon!!!! I did a 12.6 @ 108 back home in colorado, actually drove to Kentucky with my car, then without even tuning it, did a 12.2 @ 114............ looking to knock a sec off with everything........ that is why I am being soooooooo picky. new turbo setup, new intercooler and intake setup, then new rims

ok ii am also in the market for an intercooler kit and im doing all the research i can. Ok im gonna go with the Greddy TDO5H/18g kit ( please i know the price but i managed to get a deal) which i should be getting in about 2-3 weeks cant wait.

Now ive been really looking into the AMS FMIC kit as in my thread http://dsmtuner.com/forums/showthread.php?t=205817 that was the one i was constantly pointed to. i originally wanted a Greddy 18r Intercooler kit, while i asked questions on the Greddy but nothing really 'solid' so to speak.

Now my question to you is, whats wrong with your Greddy Intercooler kit that made you want to go to the new one your gonna get? did it fail? is it leaking? i m trying to get an honest answer, dont be like just cause or whatever please let me know why your are dissatified with Greddy's intercooler kit. or whatever reason you dont want it anymore.

ALso im not trying to make my car a track car or break records, i just want my car to be quick and daily drive my ass to work LOL, just to let you know where im going with my car.
anyways eagerly awaiting your answer and good luck with your new intercooler!

I would have to recommend the Victory Performance kit 100%. I have this kit and it works amazing :thumb: . Not the cheepest out there but you get what you pay for. I run their superstreet kit which should be plenty for your setup. Bar & plate core, 2.5" aluminum short route pipeing, polished cast endtanks. Don't need to mod your rad support or relocate the coolent overflow with this kit. Only thing is you have to lose the fogs. Here's a pic of the core during my install, there's a bigger one in my profile.

What isn't good about the greddy kit is that it is a tube and fin, which isn't as efficient. It adds a few more feet of ic piping and the core is fairly weak so it doesn't take to much of an impact to damage it. It also uses the smaller 2.25" piping.

I would have to agree with everyone the DVDT FAB FMIC is a excellent product. I would either choose between DV/DT FAB's FMIC or SLOWBOY's FMIC. But I would def choosse DV/DT FMIC over any other fmic out there!!

Stay boostin

The JRC is a good core but you have to make your own piping. With people looking to go with big #'s they want to know for sure that they have a solid core and solid piping that they arent going to have to worry about...JMO

IMO it's a good IC for the price, but in terms of design/flow, I don't think it competes with some of the other ones listed..

DVDT has definitely the best designed endtanks out there.. plus i believe they use a spearco 2-216 core, which IMO is one of the best cores out there

I will have pics of our new 2G kit next week after we finish up the tanks and piping. It will feature a 26x10x3.5 bar and plate core, backdoor outlet to the throttle body, and piping options of powdercoated mild steel, stainless, or aluminum @ a very reasonable price.

I just bought the core off of Albert and will be making all the piping myself. The car is still not completed but I will have numbers come spring.
