Best intake manifold for MY setup

28+ psi
8500+ redline
SC-61/35R or bigger

FRH works well. Anything that's below one of those then I would avoid the FRH.

Nanok i'm confused about something you just said. The flow increases aren't from the cams? With more aggresive cams the valves open higher and longer, so how is it the cams wouldn't add airflow? Personally it seems foolish to do a SMIM before doing cams. It can be done but the stock cams in our cars aren't meant for the higher rpm's that a SMIM will shine at.
well said.

Another member was attributing the gains from the head/mani swap to the 1g cams and intake manifold. I was stating in the installs I have seen the users already had upgraded cams and still saw gains swapping the the 1g head/intake mani. I also think cams are a better earlier in the game. I was just aswering his question about the best inatke. It just seems silly to me to upgrade more than once. :)

Ok I understand know. I misunderstood your point. I would expect to see gains in airflow swapping on a 1g head and intake. They flow more from the factory. It only makes sense. Yes it does seem silly to upgrade more than once. Then again once you get cams your going to wonder why you didn't do this sooner ;)

Nanokpsi, so with cams being equal, they swapped the heads, intake mani & TB's? We all know the 2g intake mani & TB's are a big restriction, so the gains seen could have just been from these two parts, correct? Your gains would still be taking intake account the "supporting mods" on the head & not just the head by itself...

Just putting on a 1g TB and intake manifold wont do much good unless the head is matched to their size. Port matching a 2g head to a 1g intake manifold has been widely discouraged on the board here.

Is that in reply to my above post? If so I wasn't implying to put a 1g intake on a 2g head, everyone should know why thats a dumb idea. I was just saying his results could still just be from what is bolted onto the head, as far as the intake and TB.
