Not sure if you did it yet, but I'm going with a combo. HKS 264/272 with Crower S&R. I read somewhere that the 272/272 loses a little HP, and the combo gets little bit more torque. I believe it was in the delta comparison thread.

I second the 264/272 combo or fp1/fp2 combo. I'm actually selling my fp1 intake cam if you decide to go this route, I'll let it go cheap. I have been running this combo and love it, doesn't give up any low end and pulls good up top.

At this point I will not extend the RPM range.

I read that it has been spooled at 3200 RPM and held 28 PSI till 8000 RPM so something like that will be great.

- no springs at this point
Ok wait. You don't want to extend the RPM range but you said someone gets it to hold to 8k rpm at 28psi. Somehow I doubt this, I highly doubt that turbo flows enough to keep up at that high of rpm.
No springs plus kelford 272 is probably not a great idea. I wouldn't think so at least.

Well I haven't got them yet. But the latest dillemma is Kelford 264/260 or Kelford 272/272

Also if you want more top end you go with a bigger cam such as a 272 or 280. If you don't want all top end you go with a smaller cam such as a 264. If you want a little of both then you can mix the 2.

Hi. To answer your questions:

1. Well I am getting kiggly beehives for those kelfords for sure.
2. Having in mind that even the smaller Kelfords have greater .050 duration than other brand 272s I guess top end will not be so much of an issue.

So the question really is the bottom end

I have never red lined my car. My car is my 2nd baby, i just wanna makes it as reliable as possible. Are Cam's an easy install??

It's fairly straightforward. You will probably want to do the timing belt/water pump while you are there since you are going to need to pull the t-belt. You can also throw on some adjustable cam gears, since it's much easier to do while replacing the cams than later on.

Well i just had all belts replaced, i still need to do the water pump and also throw some 3g big hole lifters. I can not stand sounding like a VW that hasnt had an oil change in 5,000+ miles

So, I decided to go with lower priced cams so I can get adjustable cam gears. Here is the final setup. It's already bought.

Delta K272s
Kiggly beehives
Fidanza adjustable cams

Hopefully I god myself a nice setup to max out the FP68HTA
