I cant get a clear answer on a good bov. I have a sbr 6-bolt motor and wanna kno wht bov will have the least amount of boost leak.Plus i want a loud bov of course.

If you searched & couldn't get a clear answer, thats probably because everyone has their own opinion & you'll probably never get a clear answer. If your able to vent, the Tial seems to be at the top of most peoples list. If you have to recirculate HKS SSQV is very popular (& work well when vented as well). I run the SSQV & in recirculated in form, I don't think its anything special. It flutters basically all the time (except under full boost), isn't that loud but it won't leak, which is why I keep it.

Yes, there have been tons of threads like this, one popping up every week or more. the HKS, TiAl, GReddy....they are all pretty good candidates. I personally run the GReddy RS and I like it, no leaks, never shutters and looks nice.

Search no more

did you guys forget about the apexi bov??? thats what i have on my car and i love it. but its vented!

I say the hks ssqv is a good all-around bov hands down. I would get me an hks but my dsm came with a type-s and they are rare so i might as well just keep it.

Crushed 1G for me. I want to Dodge Garage Mod one soon to see what it's all about. :talon:
I think it's great if you're running alot of boost. It completely changes the tone of the valve, but it will make it flutter a little under low-boost situations (like chopping the thottle in traffic when you're only making 10psi or so).

I actually like the sound of my unmodded recirculated 1G BOV. I polished it up, and it only costed $30

i use a greddy.... and i dont like it all that much im switching over to a 1g...

i have a greddy and HKS ssqv if you need let meknow

Best bovs would have to be based on preference of sound / function...

Tial- Very good bov but they usually send a very stiff spring with the bov so you will have to buy a lighter spring or else you almost guaranteed to get "flutter" when not under w.o.t...

Greddy- greddys are pretty good... I have an older one with the adjustable spring so under low boost 20-25 lbs I make it light but under heavy boost, 30+ pounds, I make the spring harder...

HKS ssq- very good b.o.v. But I hate the way they sound....

Synapse- very well designed, and very good b.o.v. Heard nothing but good reviews except that they are a little bulky...

Apexi-a friend of mine used it for a while but it leaked heavy over/under certain psi....

Stock 1g- not a bad choice... its going to be the cheapest $20-$100 to find but VERY good for the price....

Go on youtube and type in different b.o.v.'s that should help you make your choice......

NGR type S... better than Greddy Type S ... no leaks and sounds the same...

Thats what I've got on my 4g64-t, but I cant even hear it. I'm using rubber radiator hose for my recirculation tube, maybe that absorbs some of the sound or something. What are you using for your recirculation pipe?

What about a turboxs.I have a friend that would give me one for free. But i heard they leak boost horribly.

They do. Plus you need to buy an adapter just to make it recirculate. Skip this one.

Doesn't the OP's question need to be asked what kind of power he thinks he'll be putting out? How many psi of boost? Recirculating or running burnerspheric

I run a Greddy Type RS on my T25 w/ stock BCS. Works great. I can vent it if I'm feeling burner enough, never gives me too many problems. I have the spring all the way tight as well.
