what would i need to do to fix bent valves on a awd tsi? how much would it cost

are the bent valves due to timing belt failure??? It can be costly but shop around do not I REPEAT Do not go to dealership they will rape your wallet

if you have another car, pull the head and take it to a shop...They will have to go in and pull all the valves and replace them. While they are in there they probably will want to replace the guides and everything else associated with that side of the head. Then you might want to look into getting it pressured checked to make sure you did not crack anything and more than likely you will have to get it clearanced checked and then milled if its out of specs, personally anytime I pull a head I have it checked. Its your butt if you take the easy way out....

Basically, I did this about 7 months ago and it ran me 250$ for all new exhaust hardware, another 80 to have it milled and pressre checked and that was with me pulling the head otherwise they will kill you on labor.

I had a place out here quote me $750 to rebuild my head, and that was me pulling it and taking it into them. But had later found a place that quoted me $400. So just shop around until you get price that you want.

Yeah you can buy a rebuilt head, bolt everything on and fix the timing. That will do the same as getting your old head rebuilt.

That would depend on who you went through in order to get it. There are some places on ebay that are about $400, but who knows how good those are. Or you can go through one of the supporting vendors. They can get kind of pricey but are well worth the money.
