Ok, so I had a minor coolant leak from a hose. I filled up on coolant and decided to make the trip home. Had no phone and was about 4 or 5 miles from the house, and definately wasn't walking anywhere. I was in the middle of nowhere.

The leak eventually burst about a 1/4 to a 1/2 mile before my house. I filled everything back up and made my way home. I turned the car off on the way down my road, and turned the key completely off but the car kept running half-assed.

Then I tried to start it to pull it another 6 feet or so into the driveway and it was a pain starting. Like it started turning over slow, then it got progessively quicker and quicker. Evnentually it started and I made it into the driveway.

We went in and let the smoke pour out. It was dark out and no lights plus nobody was home so there was really no point in staying outside. But, the smoke did not smell like coolant to be honest, and there were no bubbles in the oil and no smoke out of the exhaust. And I didn't appear to be losing any oil or any other symptoms of a head gasket.

For some reason I also noticed that my clutch felt a little weak. But I didn't think the two issues were connected.

I haven't had time to inspect anything at all. But the leak was on the left side of the engine bay from the hose leading to the heatercore. Please don't chastize me fo driving it home. It was cold and I'm sick as it is, and I was about 4 miles away from the house in the middle of nowhere. No houses, nothing. Just please help me out with my problem, I'm a little stressed out atm.

Alright, I walked out this morning and filled it up again, and started it 3 times for no more than 5 seconds. The first time it was a little rough starting, not really that bad though. The second time it started right up. And the third time it started right back up again.

There was no smoke out the exhaust either.

I understand. However, the engine won't understand. If you get it too hot, you can arp the head which at that point you have to decide to either continue what you are doing or stop so you may not have to pull the head.

If you don't start getting fluid transfers or smoking or chronic overheats, you may have dodged a bullet. Also, it can affect the rings as it removes the tension due to heat.

Anyway, good luck
