Hey all, I kinda think I know the answer to this already, but would it be "acceptable" to bend a bent rim back into a usable condition? I ran over a rock last night, bent the rim enough to unseat the bead, but it really does not look bad. I even wonder if the shock unseated it and if I took it to a shop if they could seat it again. Either way, if I was just trying to bend it back little, would it be acceptable? (I know fixing wheel/tire damage is an iffy thing...)

I'd find a wheel shop and talk to them about the situation. I don't see why it would be a problem if it's a small bend other than making a stress point on the rim.

Will if it's not to shabby and is use for daily driving. I say it's doable. But if it's use for auto sport, then turn the other cheek for your own safety. It's not worth the risk because didn't feel like dishing out money to buy/fix it!
Stay safe!

If it a steel wheel go for it. We bend a lot of those back at the shop I work at. Aluminum however will almost certainly crack the moment you hit it. Do a quick google search for a place around you that can heat it and true the wheel properly for you.
