Ok so i have come to the desicion after reading all or your advice.Sorry i miss spoke about what is broke off its actualy a bolt hole that goes to the transfer case that is missing sorry, but i think I am going to get a used trans for cheap and have it rebuilt with new syncros and stuff maybe an evo 3 and 4 gear when i get my tax return. The block has just been hot tanked and magnafluxed so it was in good condition a few months ago when i had the trans off for the first crack. got underneath and all the rest of the trans looks good so i think im just going to V it drill it and have it welded so i can drive it in the mean time. so anyone feel free to send me a pm if yuo have a trans laying around in a few weeks.

Oh also can anyone tell me if i have a 22 or 23 spline i cant remember? so i know what to buy. 91 5spd awd vin is 4e3ct64uxme055030 if anyone can remember how to read vins?

Thank you very much all!

I do hear good things about them. So what would be better Vs. Cheaper but still a good ruote. So should i A. have TRE or TMZ or shep who is not too far away, replace my bellhousing and rebuild the trans? B. Buy a bellhousing and have a local reputable trans shop do the rebuild locally? or C. Or should i just buy a stage 1 tre or shep? only i hate to buy a brand new one incase there is something im still missing that caused the crackes in the first one? Also could someone tell me how to verfiy i have the right mount insert in the trans mount?

Thank you!,

I was studying loftys pictures of the lobes from the black that had broken off in his pitcures further up, and they made me realize i didnt even have anybolts going through there. I went outside and stuck my hand down there and sure enough no "block to trans" bolt was present!? i put one in today and am going to have the crack welded but as far as i read that is almost the most important one to keep the dowls lined up and tight. Please can anyone give input to as weather this would let my trans move enough to crack it.

Thank you!!!

Do you have both dowels, and the m8x1.25 bolt that goes through the block into the trans?

the one in the back was missing.
