The stress is coming from your foot on the clutch pedal I have found that it is very important that you get the rear lower bolt in. If it isnt in tight and not stripped it can make all the other bolts back out. Also driving around with loose tranny bolts can weaken the bellhousing and make micro cracks in the metal. an ACT2600 dont help matterskrosTSI said:Allright all the bolts appear to be tight. But when i press ion the clutch the whole tranny andbell housing shifts towards the passenger side, but the block remains still I cant really determine where the stress is coming from?
Thanks guys,

I had the sme problem with my 92 awd. It turned out that the front belhousing bolt boss had broken and was letting the bolts come loose and the only bolts that were holding the tranny on were the top two. This was letting the tranny seperate, and when you would push in the clutch, the transfer case would rub on the fly wheel and not let the clutch disengage corectly.krosTSI said:Allright all the bolts appear to be tight.
