Okay so I am going to be rewiring most of my engine bay electrical connections. I would just like some input on what I will be doing, and what improvements if any I could make

Okay, the wiring as it currently is, is from the alt. there is the stock double white wires, and runs to the small battery mounted fuse box in the 100A location. On the other side of the fuse there is an 8 awg wire ran to the + post on the starter, where the previous owner also ran 4 awg to the trunk where the battery is at.

What I was thinking, was run 1/0 from the alt. to the 100A fuse location, from there run more 1/0 to a bolt where the new 1/0 run to the battery in the trunk, and a new 4 awg wire to the starter all meet up at.

Would that be a optimal setup? The ends of the wires would just be bolted together through soldered lugs, and taped up pretty well. All input would be appreciated! Thanks!!

That is some helpful information, but the battery was already ran to the trunk when I purchased the vehicle. The 8 awg wire was ran to the starter, and the 4 awg that ran to the trunk was also connected to the post on the starter. The fuse block that originally connected to the + battery terminal was just attached near the strut tower via a self tapping screw. Im just trying to figure out how to wire this up properly.

Could I just run a 1/0 from the fuse block to the starter, and just bolt the battery lead to the starter as well?
