Battery light got dimmed

I had a battery light so i replaced the alternator. but after i insatalled the new one i noticed that the battery light got dimmer for some reason. and just yesturday the battery light came on again but it was dimmer than the bright red color? can anyone help me

Have you checked to make sure the battery is holding a charge? The alternator isnt the only thing it could be.

dude im having the same problems!! i been getting a lot of diferent opinions from people , on mine since i changed the battery location to the trunk they are saying that i may be loosing power from power traveling all the way back to the trunk , my alternator has been tested and its seems to be working but i still get that dim battery ligth just when i start the car, as soon as i start hitting the road it goes off and its gone!! its weird , i allso been told that it may be the voltage regulator on the alternator , so you may wanna exchange the alternator for a new one and see what happens .

Voltage regulator is the most common thing inside the alternator. Doesn't provide the required voltage at idle but during normal driving it works great. How much voltage are you getting on a cold start in the morning?

starts between 12 and half and 13 and and as soon as i hit the gas goes up to 14.1 .

so i got another alternator today and still the battery light is still dimmer than the rest? what can i do to resolve this problem?

When is it dimmer? What do you mean dimmer than the rest how many lights are on?

when the key is on the on possition before you start the engine. when all the lights come the battery light is the only one thats not as bright as the rest its dimmer

O don't worry about it then. Your posts make it seem like its dimly on while driving. Replace the bulb if it bothers you that much.
