So here is some background info.

I hadn't driven my car for 3 years in NY, moved to Florida and put my car back on the road. Drove it for a month and started to hear clicking coming from under the dash. Weird thing was it was only clicking when I used the ebrake and the car was turned off. I could reposition the ebrake and the clicking would stop. Well it got to the point where it was clicking all the time regardless and I just figured this was causing my battery to drain over night.

So off I went searching through thread after thread and figured out it was the MPI relay clicking. Reading through the threads most people said it would be cause by a bad ECU so I pulled the ECU. C203 showed signs of bubbling but hadn't leaked.

Here is a picture of C203.

So I though OK bad ECU guess its time to throw in my fresh ECU from ECMTuning and start the DSMLink process.

But after I swapped ECU's the MPI relay still clicks when the car is shut off and I'm still getting battery drain. In an hours time I checked with my multimeter and the battery dropped 1.5.

So I'm mostly at a loss on this and can't really afford to not having it run when I start my new job. That and trying to set my initial tune with DSMLink in the middle of this is really a pain.

On another note while the car is running the alternator charges the battery fine...

Any help would be appreciated

Does anybody have any thoughts?

That cap does not appear to have popped. I may be wrong, but it looks like access epoxy or some sort of glue. They usually pop from the top.

Well that's good to know. Though I still swapped out my ECU for my EPROM with link. I'm still unsure of why MPI is clicking and battery is draining.

OK new relay installed, DSMLink in a known good ECU but still have the relay clicking, need help
