Barcelona Red Engine Bays

Looking for ideas for my Barcelona Red. The bay is completely virgin and would like to have a plan when I start adding stuff to it! I've searched a bit and only seen 2 bays. Don't feel like looking through that engine bays thread either... If you've got good pics let me see!

I should definitely upload my pics although I am redoing my valve cover. Honestly it depends because for me I have a barcelona red powdercoated valve cover to match the car with chrome/silver letters. Another option is if you have black wheels on the barcelona which I personally dislike but you could go with a black valve cover and silver/chrome letters. The reason I dislike black is It makes the barcelona a sad plum purple and doesn't fully capture it in my eyes. I personally LOVE bronze stock GSX wheels.

That just looks great. Anyways back to the bay.. If you are going with black wheels you could have the Barcelona valve cover and black IC piping and keep it stealthy although since I have the white clear sidemarkers and the polished lip I like having the silver piping to match with that. Maybe I over think these things haha! Also I wanted to go for some bronze pieces in my engine bay to match the rims which I am deciding which I want at the moment because too much bronze I feel like will overdue it. I wish I could grab pics but I am not at home. I could go on for days

Yea, I'm planning on painting my GST wheels bronze. Using black plastidip as the base/primer. Thanks for the suggestions! Post a picture of your bay when you get it finished!

Sounds like you need to do a lot of polished things in your bay to get your desired look. Chrome powder coating also looks sweet

For a cheap bronze you can use black plastidip as the base and use the new copper metalizer on top. When you use 1 coat of the copper it will give you a good light bronze and 3ish for dark bronze.

Yet everybody goes with the black wheels! I feel like the only bronze wheeled barcelona here other than one other guy.

Yea, I like the stock GST rims better than a lot of others. I'm going to order a wheel kit for to get the bronze look here in a few weeks. I'll post pictures here when it's finished.

I really like the flat valve cover!

Not sure if it is the lighting but my powdercoater said the valve cover will change color from the heat. Is it that noticeable or is it just the light?

Just wanted to say my bronze wheel kit from dipyourcar.com came on Friday. I was going to do it tomorrow but I decided to wait until I move in with my brother in a week or two so I can just put my car up on jackstands and take all the wheels off.

CountryDSM, did you do bronze wheels yet?
