im gonna get an evo16g soon and i was looking at some of the oil hoses for them. how can there posibly be enough oil flown through that restrictive banjo nut?

Is that suposed to limit the oil? or is the more the better? why not just put hose fitting right into the usually taped locaten and run a 4 or 6 an hose to the turbo?

the banjo fiting might restricked the oill a little but were the oil line screws into is mostly blocked off with exception for a very small hole.so it really dolent matter

alot of the instal kits i see take there oil from that hole? is that a good idea? should i t in some where else? i mean turbos need oil like nothing else. this shoudl be a no brainer

I've read there's around 5-10PSI oil pressure at that head fitting anyway, so I wouldn't worry about that being a problem.

If you're worried about it, you can buy a filter-feed line.

the more oil the better isnt right for turbo's...too much oil pressure or too large diameter feed can cause the seals to wear out prematurally...but eitherway i dont think it would matter because as said above there isnt much pressure at the head anyways...in fact many of the new full garrett kits feed it closer to the oil pump

just remember, the more oil you give to the turbo, the less you have someplace else, such as rod and mains.....there is a reason for restrictions in certain places, also too much pressure on the turbo bearings actually will add friction to the center section since it will have to overcome the oil pressure pushing against the turbo shaft..... :dsm:

ok i think ill just run a hose from the usual place, but without the banjo fitting, just a regular hose. It has worked for lots of people so i gues it will work for me.
