I know a lot of people here use that permatex cup/core plug sealant to install the bse plug cap. I didnt have any access to one today, but I found a substitute jb weld. What do you guys think? Did I put too much Lol? Here's a pic. Thanks.

I have used JB Weld on two oil pump cover plugs for the balance shaft removal kit and had no problems. Just take your time and be sure it cures. My curing method is the batch that I mixed has to cure solidly before I use the pump cover.;)
