Is It alright to drive my car without a ballance shaft belt?

Today i was driving down the road and the balance shaft belt snaped so i stop and pulled it out before it messed up my timming belt which is fine and then drove it home now theres a little vibration but nothing big now would i still be able to drive it without it or not?

Some people will say it's safe to run with just the belt gone, some people will say it's not. It's just a matter of who you're going to believe more. I wasn't going to take the cheap way out, and got the balance shafts completely taken out, only to find out after everything was all exposed down there that the balance belt was already broken and was just laying in there.

The rear shaft will need to be pulled out otherwise the vibration will remain. That shaft is driven by the oil pump.

as said, this is argued all the time. I drove a few thousand miles with no balance shaft belt and didn't have any problems from it, of any vibrating. Id just pull both shafts now and forget about them.
