Spark Plug Wire Cap Pulsing

My brother called me yesterday and asked if my spark plug wires pulse while the car is idling. I started the car, then put my hand on top of the plug wires where they sit on the valve cover, and sure enough, the wires going into cylinders 4 and 1 feel like they are pulsing, while 2 and 3 don't. My brother said that his cylinder 4 and 2 wires pulse.

Neither of us could figure it out. He thinks its an injector problem, but both of our cars run perfectly fine. Anybody have an idea?

Also, I'm running Bosch 7mm Mag Core wires, and my brother is running NGK.

No misses, and no CEL on either car. It's weird. I never noticed it before, and neither did he. These DSM's have given many mechanics a run for their money when it comes to diagnosing problems. I'm stumped.

It just feels like the spark plug has a heart beat....

Then you don't have a problem. The plugs only fire when the cylinder is at TDC, well and the waste spark on our motors.

That was my first thought, so I swapped my two pulsing wires with the two that weren't pulsing (yes, I switched them at the coil as well) and it was still pulsing. If it were misfiring I would consider faulty wires. But considering that neither of our cars are misfiring, and I just replaced my wires 3 months ago (around 900 miles), I would be pressed to believe that they could be causing the problem.

The only other thought that comes to mind is that maybe my coil is getting ready to crap out. But even then, I should be noticing a misfire here and there.

A couple of mechanics have suggested that my plug threads on the head may be stretched causing the plugs to slide up and down. They both also mentioned that the porcelain might be separating from the metal on the plug.

Neither of those theories is my problem. But I wouldn't really call it a problem, since the cars are running good.

Stop looking for problems. Plenty of them will show their ugly head.

This wasn't so much as looking for a problem as it was just finding a spot to lean on while under the hood and stumbling upon it. However, finding issues or problems would always be a good thing in my book. Never avoid popping the hood for fear of finding a problem, and problems are things that hold the performance of the Talon down. Therefore they would need to be taken care of.

As I previously stated though, I don't really think that this is a problem. Its just weird and I have no idea what could be causing it.

And DUH! there is an electric current flowing through the wires... that's how they work, HAHAHA. But, it doesn't feel like an electrical current pulsing, it literally feels like the spark plug has a heart beat.

I think he was being sarcastic a little bit. If you had a bad coil, plug, or wires it would throw a CEL. The electrical current pulses with the rotation of the motor it is not steady!

Yeah, I picked up on the sarcasm. I just can't figure out why only 2 of the wires pulse.
