Ok I have a question. I recently purchased a 90 AWD TSI and I am getting alot of vibrations on the inside of the car at idle.

It does not appear to have solid mounts or urethane mounts but I am not sure.

The reason I suspect the balance shafts is because my Oil pressure gauge after starting the car will climb to the max until its pegged out. I am thinking that the B/S have been removed hence the high oil pressure. At idle the whole interior of the car vibrates like crazy and will continue until you get past 1300RPM.

Timing is dead on. Exhaust doesnt seem to be touching the body of the car anywhere either.

Check to make shure your crank pully has not sepparated, also check to make shure your motor mounts are not cracked.

all mounts seem to be ok. I tried jacking up various places on the motor with the car running and it did not make any difference.

I am suspecting a mis-timed balace shaft. At 3500, and around 5000 RPM the vibrations are awful.

Sounds like you have an extremely bad harmonic balancer as dented coffee said. You have no balance shafts and if done right it shouldn't cause it to vibrate much more than stock, enough to notice but not like you are describing. So check the harmonic balancer

I will check it today when I start putting the a/c stuff back together. I glanced at it when I first got the car and it looked ok.

Also I do not know if the balance shafts have been removed I will have to pull the cover to find out.

Thank you man. I know I Had the same problem when I had my 1993 eclipse gs. The pully looked greatbut when I started it up it was kicking arround. I looked at what was going on and it was wobbling and kinda like slide-stop-slide-stop. I just replaced it and she was back on the road.
