If you think you can do it. Get it done, better of without them don't want your balance shaft belt breaking and getting stuck in your timing belt=bending valves (600+)to fix. Do it up
 
are your internals balenced? im not going to remove mine til i get my engine balenced with forged internals... but im sure it shouldnt be too bad since a lot of people here do it without getting their engine balenced...
 
hindsight is 20/20.. i wish i wouldnt have messed with mine. it kind of depends on how you use your car i suppose. if you are full on performance oriented and you dont use your car for a lot of commuting purposes then you most likely wont care. although my car is my daily driver and frankly it bugs the hell out of me now. the car just feels rougher and "cheap" to me. i wish i would have just left it alone..
 
IMO, if you're not pulling the engine out, it's not worth it. The front shaft is easy enough, you just have to remove the belt and you can leave the shaft in. The rear shaft would require dropping the oil pan and removing the oil pump to get that shaft. It'll take a lot more time to get that rear saft out than it would to replace the timing and balance shaft belt. Just replace the belt and be done with it until the next 60,000 miles comes around.

BTW, internally balancing the engine will do nothing to reduce the vibrations of your engine once the balance shafts are removed.
