I was driving coming home today and all of a sudden by car started vibrating like crazy.. So i drove the car home and pulled off the timing cover and my balance shaft belt came off with the cover. Timing belt and everthing else looked good. My question is.. Can this cause any engine damage?..I dont autocross or drag race my car.. Its just a daily driver. Will not have the balance shaft belt on the car affect performance?...I hate the amount of vibration my car has rite now. Can anyone send me a link or something that can help me install this balance shaft belt... I already read the VFAQ article. Is there anything better?..More pictures...More details. Anything. PLEASE.

---I HAVE A 95 TSI WITH A 6 BOLT SWAP. THANK YOU EVERYONE.

you really need to replace that belt. also when was the time the timing belt and idlers were replaced? the crappy thing with replacing the bs belt is your going to have to pull the timing belt to replace the belt
