Balance shaft belt

OK so i was driving my eclipse and i high revved it and my balance shaft belt broke. Also i don't know why but my timing belt was torn from the side facing the engine. I just replaced the timing belt 150 miles ago, I think it might be rubbing against something but i don't see what. This engine is seriously giving me allot of problems as you can see from all my postings but am not going to give up on it! Also if you guys have pics or if you have a link to the vfaq,s showing a pic on the exacly timing marks to reset the timing i would appreciate if i can have it. Also does the balance shaft belt has to be on timing to?

Your timing belt was probably ate up because of the balance shaft belt. It rides behind it. Second I would definately look into why the belt broke and just remove the BS while your there. However if you choose to run them make sure the bearings are in good shape and the front shaft turns freely, to asnwer your other question yes the oil pump sprocket has to be in time as it runs the rear BS. There should be a white mark on the oil pump sprocket or there has been on every DSM ive seen. Just line it up with the marks on the case and then set the timing. There should be a pic of the timing in the VFAQ there are several floating around. Im on my iphone so I cant link sorry.
